If you are having a problem, have you telephoned then to check the transaction? For me it's been the most reliable on-line account I've had...
I sent them a secure message at 9:30 asking when the transaction was likely to be completed.
I just logged back into my account now and all trace of the withdrawal has gone from my statement and they have put the balance back, no explanation or anything.0 -

I opened mine on the 4th July and the first money went in a few days later. From their log-in process, it does seem that they are supporting two 'classes' of customer depending on when their account was opened. It seems a bizarre situation.

Again, I'd echo telephoning them and speaking to someone in person, they'll be able to explain and sort it out straight away. So much easier than e-mail. When I had a problem, they sorted it out immediately via the telephone, very efficiently.

Perhaps there are different versions. When I go into the Accounts screen, just to the left of the account number is a + sign and when I click on that it reveals extra information including Last Activity date, Gross Interest Rate, Accrued Interest incremented daily, and the Available Balance.
Dave.
I opened my account in March. It appears that older accounts don't have this facility. There's no + sign available to extend facilities on my account either.0 -
hi all ,
i phoned kaupthing this morning ,
was told about 100 who applied for accounts last week were given account numbers that didn`t exist . it was due to them switching over computers .
have been assured that i have now been given the correct account number and my transfered money ( only £100 thank goodness ) should go into that account tomorrow
i`m really glad i decided to do a small trial transfer first to make sure everything is o.k.
i`m not too sure about the reliability , i may just open a building society account , less interest but at least i know the money is going into the correct account and i can get to it when i need to !!!0 -

tbh, that's why I put you/I in my reply - I thought I remembered someone posting about a + sign somewhere before. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
Made a withdrawal from my KE account onthe 8th,now the 6th day and it's still not got into my main account making me go overdrawn...will be moving the rest out I think and putting it in a lower interest but more reliable account.
As per my previous posts its looks like they had a "failure" on that day. On Sunday they couldnt tell me why, they just said "We have not been informed as to why or how these actions were not processed by our head office. We will be unable to find this our for you until our head office opens tomorrow morning at 9.00am."
Anyway they did a CHAPS transfer to my nominated account today, change the withdrawal date from 8th to today 14th.
This delay also made my account go overdrawn by around £500 since Thursday, until today when they completed the transfer. I asked them to re-imburse me for the interest charges that I will incurr due to their "failure". After three messages they asked me to send in my bank statement as proof and they will look into getting it re-imbursed.
The first two replies I had was very frustrating as I was asking about the interest I will be charged on my Nationwide current account and the same person kept replying saying Kaupthing Edge will backdate the interest to the 8th thinking I was asking about the interest being paid by Kaupthing. Their customer service is not in Iceland is it?0
