Hi All
I applied for the mbna 5.9% fee free life of balance offer via martins weekly email i recieved 2 july. The card came today so i rang to make a balance transfer but the customer servise rep said that there was no such offer. I exlained that there was when i made the application. She now has to retrieve the application to varifie the offer which will take 24 hrs. Has anybody else had this problem. Ive noticed that that particular offer has now been withdrawn. This is a pain as i only got the card for that LOB offer. To good to be true maybe

Maybe give customer loyalty a call on 0800 783 1116.
The 4.9% LOB (with 2% BT fee) is still available. A useful fallback?0 -

is that available for any MBNA card? it's the first time I've heard it mentioned. For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
The card they sent me has 0.0% offer on transfers till aug 09 with fee & 15% variable and 0.0% on purchases untill oct 08. This is not thc card i applied for. On the web page that link from matins weekly email, it said 5.9% life of balance fee free & thats the route i took to get the card. As martin say he`s never wrong.

No. I didn't see Martin's e-mail (for some reason I can't subscribe?), but they had a couple of 'specials' only available through moneysupermarket.comis that available for any MBNA card?
They were both on the stoozing site at...

...but only the card I mentioned above is there now.0 -
OMG went for the balance transfer 4.9% for life 2 days ago haven't heard anything as yet. OH spoke to a rather inexperienced young man and almost had to guide him through the process. We were amazed at the rate I hope it's not too good to be true. There was another card offering the same rate I used the link on this site from main page to access it will have another look and see if I can find it again.
Found the link it's for iTunes Mastercard

URGENT. Lock your debts in at 5.9% for life. New Cheapest Credit Card. Updated Article
For those with existing card debts, the new MBNA life of balance* deal allows new cardholders to shift debt to it, fees free, at 5.9% and this rate lasts until all the debt shifted is repaid; provided you make the min. repayments. Bizarrely this undercuts all loans and many mortgages, so it's shockingly cheap during the credit crunch. Rumours are it’s a trial deal and may be very short lived, so anyone with costly card debts they can’t repay quickly should grab it. Full pros, cons, alternatives and 0% deals are in the Updated Guide: Best Balance Transfers Related Articles: Top Card for Spending, Cheapest Personal Loans, Half Price Plastic Loans
This is from matins weekly email. This is the route i used.
