Free Text Sites?

Just got my mobile phone bill in and i've gone a bit daft with the texts.

Are there any decent sites around that i can send them free while i'm on the comp?

The free cbfsms service is hardly ever available in my experience only the corporate fee paying one.

The danger of these free? sites is that you and your friends can end up get lots of spam.

You can send 10 free sms a month ofrom the O2 site, you have to register, but don't have to be with O2.

I also use Textmefree/fonetastic. You get 6 free sms a day, but it isn't 100% reliable.

https://www.sms.ac. Make sure that you 'opt out' of everything. You'll get five free per day for a month.

You can get a free program that makes sending free texts really easy from here:

it lets you send via various sms websites, lets you share a single addressbook with all supported sites, lets you send extra long messages (splits messages into parts), saves your login + password info, so u dont need to enter it each time, plus lots more features.

On the O2 site it is easy to set up multiple accounts, so you can effectively send unlimited texts from a reliable operator at no cost and with no risk of your number being passed on to spammers. It must be the best bet for UK texts.
