Anyone had a call from Maestro Marketing?

Apparently we have been 'awarded' a one week holiday for 4 with an admin fee of £49.00pp, if we attend presentation in Exmouth. Not timeshare. Anyone else had this call, and do you know what the catch is. I assume they are trying to sell points for holidays or something similar. Has anyone been an actually got the holidays 'free' other than the £49.00?

personally, i would rather book a holiday without feeling bothered.0

I was just interested to know if anyone had had this type of call from them.0
-
It probably won't even be points - more likely 'holiday club' membership whereby you pay megabucks upfront and an annual fee for the privilege of buying holidays that you could get cheaper in a travel agent.
Assuming that the 'club' is still going in future years.
Have had similar offers - the marketing companies regularly change their names once the 'scam' is uncovered.0 -
Yup, I've had a call as well now - invited to a "presentation" in Exeter
Anyone followed through to see what happens?0 -
Yes, I had two calls. The first one was to ask me about my holiday habits and then she reeled off about 20 holiday destinations and asked me which was my favourite. I said none of them as we always cruise, to which she said ok and proceeded to ask me some more questions. I declined to answer on the "income" question, and then she ok and said goodbye.
The second call came last night to tell me that I have "been awarded" a holiday and then followed all the spiel, and I said "What's the catch", she there isn't one" to which I replied ,"there's always a catch" nobody gives free holidays away, to which I got "Oh there is a "processing" fee of £49pp. I didn't get any further because I stopped her there as I said I wasn't interested, but I did ask the name of the Company offering these "free" holidays and it's "Classic Cruises" You couldn't make it up!0 -
Just got off the phone to meastro saying we have been selected for a free holiday. must av caught me in a good mood cause usually i just put the phone down.
they recon if i go to exeter and listen to a presentation, myself and the missis will be given a 5Star holiday for £49.00pp..
the only thing we have to do in return is reccommend them if we have a good time.
not sure what to make of it but when something sounds this easy it usually ends up with a huge hidden cost.
is anybody else going or gone to exeter? if they have please keep us informed.
Thanks0 -
Just returned from Exeter, not good, worst 2.5 hrs of my life...Emotional !
Didn't buy into so called time share boat club. Very hard sell, they get very narky when you don't sign up. As for free holiday, (reason we went) Sugar reef travel club offer the week. You pay £49.00 up front, just check the forum below and make your own minds. for me its the usual scam. Put the phone down.
