try hotels.com found their prices to be excellent plus you can £10 cashback per booking through quidco.

Have some reasonable hotels from about £35 per night per room. They also have the regents palace mentioned above but with ensuite rooms for £50.

  • Oh you should have gone to the Holiday Inn Oxford Circus (with full fitness centre) or Holiday Inn Bloomsbury both closer to the west end.

    For theatre tickets try http://www.whatsonstage.com/dl/page.php

Thanks. Nevermind about the hotels - we're going to do some of the sights as well so should be ok.

  • Use The BIG BUS COMPANY to do your tour.

    http://www.bigbus.co.uk/uk/html/uk_home.html book on-line and save £2.

Recommend the Pub Crawl (sorry I mean ghost walk) free with your BIG BUS Ticket each evening at 6pm. Great Fun

You should also go on a London Duck tour. It's an amphibious vehicle like an old tank which drives around the sights and then plunges into the Thames and does a river cruise. I didn't tell my children about the river cruise bit and you should have seen how surprised they looked when the vehicle went in the water!! It's a bit pricey but it's really worth it:
