Hi All,
Looking to go to London to see the sights at the start of December.
Details:
3 Adults looking to stay for Sun, Mon, Tues if possible. Can be 1 or 2 rooms - doesn't matter too much.
As it'll probably only be somewhere to sleep, does anyone know any good deals on at the moment.

You could try easy hotel which is about £40 per night but it is real basic https://www.easyhotel.com. The other place I always book hotels through is Easyjet hotels who guarantee to cheapest. http://www.easyjethotels.co.uk/home/homepage.jspBE NICE - IT'S FREE!0

This is a very cheap hotel which is situated on Piccadilly Circus. The cheap rooms are basic. All you get is beds, TV, Kettle, chair and sink but if your planning to be out most of the time it won't matter. You will have to go down the corridor for the loo and washrooms. There are rooms with ensuite but they are obviously more money. You can ask for adjoining rooms if you wish. The breakfast there is out of this world and it's right in the centre of London so you will save money on transport to sightseeing attactions.
When you ring to book make sure you stay on hold. Don't press any of the options. If you press an option you will be transferred to a booking agent who will add £10 to £20 on top of the fee for the privaledge of talking to them. If you stay on hold you will be put through to the reception desk at the hotel who will give you the room at the cheaper rate. You also don't need a credit card to book. As long as you check in by 3pm they will reserve the room for you and you can pay by cash.

Hello
Try Travel lodge. You can get a room for £26.00 for the 3 of you (no breakfast at the Farrington Islington which is very central) https://www.travelodge.co.uk/offer
This is on the thursday the 1st of December. I know they are doing the offer until the end of November
Or try the travel section chat where there is a thread about Days inn (if you find the room cheaper within 24 hours you get a free night!) I tried it and it worked for me. I am taking my children to london. Days Inn first night at the Farrington the second. I hope this is of help. If you want further details let me know. But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
See todays Daily mail re. easy rooms......... pretty scathing. Basically an orange broom cupboard.
Try this link

Always recommend you stay very central London to get the most from your stay.
https://www.londontown.com is the best for top hotels and rock bottom prices. Recommend you look at their new OPAQUE service were you book a hotel but do not know it by name until you confirm the booking.
One 5* luxury hotel LondonTown say is located near Green Park tube station has to be The Radisson Edwardian Mayfair, Stratton Street. This is a hotel recently totally renovated and single rooms from £84+VAT=£98.70. Hotel reviewers place this hotel towards the top of recommendations.
You and your friends should treat yourselves to a bit of luxury.
Don't buy breakfast at your hotel go out for breakfast to Fortnum & Mason. their Fountain Restaurant opens at 8.30 for breakfast via the Jermyn St entrance. I recommend the Fortnums Breakfast which is a full english breakfast for £15.75 all in. When in a hotel you pay about the same and ihave never had quality as good. In a hotel you are seen as a captive audience. Whereas F&M have ot entice you in.

The Radisson Mayfair is just around the corner from a quiet area of Mayfair known as Shepherds Market. This area has lots of little eateries and pubs and is charming and a real away from it all area with it's own nightclub FYEO (For Your Eyes Only). No hussle and bustle just local friendly people enjoying a evening out.

Happy Holiday and Xmas shopping.
Thanks for all those tips - really helpful, will definatly look at londontown again!
Regarding the train tickets - are they bookable through thetrainline or virgin or is it a different site / code you need for these prices?0 -
You can get them the 1st class tickets through the trainline or VIRGIN site as trainline operates the VIRGIN site.
You need to book 14 days in advance. No refunds, and you are on the specific train you booked, unless you pay a fee to change your train if more than 14 days to your journey (read the ticket conditions when booking the ticket ignore if it still says can be booked up to 18.00 the previous day).
They have tightened up on the ticket conditions. But most people know exactly what trains they are catching in either direction.
If you cannot book 14 days in advance their are also 7 & 3 day VIRGIN Value 1st single ticket prices.
Look at the VIRGIN site for what you get in 1st class on the train and the use of the 1st class lounge at Euston station. For £54 it is a real steal.0 -
Also book your restaurant through this site and enjoy big discounts.

Thanks.
Train and hotel now all booked. Went for the Holiday Inn in Kings Cross. Might not have been the cheapest - but looks a good deal for the price I got.
Just need to find a show to go to now!
Thanks to all again,
