I'm glad your scars went away:j, but I have read up on what's actually in bio-oil and there isn't actually anything which helps fade scars (see review below). It's likely that your scars healed naturally over that time, possibly you helped by moisturising more with the oil, but moisturising obviously isn't unique to bio-oil, and it's a very expensive way to do it.
What will help scars is silicone, which is a key ingredient of most serums (including boots scar serum) and keeping the area moisturised will help the skin behave normally and heal itself.

Yes, I know hun. It will be more down to its moisturising qualities that it helped but I found for my skin an oil seemed to be better absorbed than a cream :D Also, because of the price I was more determined to use it a few times a day to get my monies worth :p

That's interesting, because I've always found it completely useless! And worse still, my skin does not absorb it at all so it just makes me really greasy. Ugh! If anyone wants a part-used bottle... It has a new home now, thankyou. :D

  • Wayhay - we got the No7 hand cream with the £5 off Olay moisturuser from PC. Had to travel to another branch last night to get shower gels (not one of the 3 in town sell them) unfortunatley the 50points for the boots body wash from ACM only prints one. We always buy in bulk too. Many Thanks for all your help on here

I think it just depends on your skin and what your using it for, mine tends to be really dry anyway and I found my scar tissue responded really well to the extra moisture, plus I liked the way you can use it as a bath oil too. The benefits of using an oil to lock in moisture seem to be widely advertised and better skin moisture can provide more skin elastisity (sp) imho, and I think thats why I found it beneficial to my scar tissue

  • Yeah, I'm starting to look round for hamper container ideas now, though I've got nowhere to put them :rotfl:
I did find some fold flat black lace "boxes" in Home Bargains though which don't take up too much room.

Ikea sale are selling set of 3 baskets for 1.99. I bought 2 at weekend.

Have a look on the Finished Baskets Thread. Sorry to mention another thread lol. People fill baskets with all their glitch stuff, and give them as pressies. Some of them are just stunning and work out at about £10 each gift

I have got some clear giftbags( Ebay) and put two or three items in each ,with a few chocolates and tie with Ribbon, for Birthday pressies.Folks really seem to love this gift.

    HTH.

Do you have a link for that? Which part of forum is it in?
