    Love Simple stuff and I've always wanted to try the Bio-oil - it's pretty pricey!!
    I can certainly vouch for the bio-oil, I had to undergo a breast reconstruction 3 years ago, and I had never heard of it before but my consultant recommended it for when my scars were healed but still new iyswim. I had two large very unslightly scars under each breast, and two scars length ways down each breast, and this stuff was amazing!! I used to use it two to three times a day and every time I had a shower or bath, within about 2/3 months there was a dramatic improvement and within 6 six months they were really faded - and now three years on (I only used the bio oil for a year) they're barely noticeable :D

    Sorry for such a descriptive account but I couldn't find a way to word it any differently :o

    I'm glad your scars went away:j, but I have read up on what's actually in bio-oil and there isn't actually anything which helps fade scars (see review below). It's likely that your scars healed naturally over that time, possibly you helped by moisturising more with the oil, but moisturising obviously isn't unique to bio-oil, and it's a very expensive way to do it.
    What will help scars is silicone, which is a key ingredient of most serums (including boots scar serum) and keeping the area moisturised will help the skin behave normally and heal itself.
    Review: Bio-Oil is a product I’m asked about regularly, mostly because it claims to tackle scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone, something many people are dealing with. The company maintains that it uses a “breakthrough ingredient” known as PurCellin oil. As it turns out, this oil is derived from ducks (it is the substance ducks secrete from their skin to keep their feathers waterproof), but it has absolutely no research proving it affects the skin concerns that Bio-Oil is touted as being able to treat. In fact, PurCellin oil isn’t even included on Bio-Oil’s ingredient list. Instead, you’re applying a mix of mineral oil and emollients to your skin, along with commonplace vitamins and some irritating fragrant plant oils (which is at best confusing and strangely misleading). Several irritating fragrance ingredients are included, too, all of which adds up to an unabashedly poor product that should not be taken seriously because it simply doesn’t make scars and stretch marks less apparent. All this can realistically do (beyond irritating skin) is provide some moisturizing benefit. That can help minimally if your skin is dry, but it won’t change any other aspect of scarring, nor will it improve an uneven skin tone.
    ;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)

    Pile them high and sit & admire them - never under any circumstances give any away!
    :rotfl::rotfl:
    And, buy a bigger house!!

    Seriously though, it means I give nicer presents to people than I normally would and am now using premium brands for me for the first time ever. Also lovely to be able to donate nice things to good causes.
  • Apologies in advance for being really cheeky. However with the credit crunch starting to bite (and DSS eating us out of house and home) I would really really appreciate any PC vouchers for money off baby food if anyone has any they won't use. Five month old DD2 seems to be going the same way as DSS!

    Happy to send SAEs etc - many thanks for any help!

    Reduced SELs here for the Ted Baker bags, quite prominent too. Must want rid of them! :D Also seem to have a different size than they had when they were all full price too. I bought the vanity case a little while ago reduced to £10 and there was a purse and a smaller one at that time. Now though there are no vanity cases but 3 diff sizes. :confused:

    Sorry to repeat but has anyone managed to use the 400 and 100 points wyb No 7 Liplicious on a reduced item?

    I used them in gret yarmouth on one that was reduced to £4.38 and it beeped, but i said i had met the criteria on the coupon and they aded it manually, along with 2 model me vouchers from the mag - they had to add 1000 points:T :T SA was young and said wow your a thrifty mum!!! to whch my 17 yr old dd rolled her eyes and said yeh we all know........... She said im so embarrasing, but decided to still get her own card, must be catching lol

    Think I read very briefly that AM managed to get the Berry bag. Did she & if so how much did she pay as I am speed reading...did she break the £2.50 threshold?
    Full Price:eek: It kept winking at me instore;) plus the new pattern was too much to resist.... Used points though as did model me twice (500pts x2) so got 2 shampoos and berry bag for £5.98 actual cash ( that's how I justified it LOL)
    This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.
