Was I an idiot not to accept this?
I was just calling Orange to get my PAC code and I was asked why I wanted it. I said I wanted to move to Virgin Liberty 15 Text, where you get 100 minutes and 1000 texts for £15 a month with no contract term.
I ended up on retentions and I was offered unlimited texts, 100 minutes and a new phone for £10 p/m on an 18 month contract. Was I stupid not to accept this?
If I was, do you think I could call up again and try to get to Retentions and say that I was offerred it?

Just call back and say that after thinking about it, you'd like to accept the deal. They wont necessarily know you refused it first time round and even so, they wouldn't not offer it again, they are after your custom after all!0

Reckon I could try to push it down even more to £8 or something? How easy is it to cancel a contract at the end btw? I wouldn't want to sign up over the phone either - can they send paperwork?0

They won't do anything lower than £10.. I was just offered this yesterday.. Make sure you get the most expensive phone possible though.. I think the best is the Viewty, so ask for that..0

OH got deal similar to this today. 300 mins to any mobile, unlimted landline phone calls, 100 texts per month for £10. But also got loyalty points (??) so got 10% discount bringing it down to £9. He got a Motorola V8 because he didn't query the phone being offered. But he is ok with that.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. I called back and got a list of the phones, but they won't offer me anything decent. I'll think about it and call back tomorrow and have another try.0
