Hi Beninio,
Perhaps I was not entirely clear in my first post? It is true that you can connect more than 1 computer to your iPod, however "If you choose Auto-sync, iPod recognizes the second computer as its home computer and breaks the link with the original computer." I was attempting to highlight the fact that if the link is broken the iPod will not be recognised. Apple also use this as an anti-piracy eature to prevent someone sharing 40GB of music with there friends.

Hi Dude. Now I'm sure you are getting things confused.
the bit in the Apple article that reads:
"If you choose Auto-sync, iPod recognizes the second computer as its home computer and breaks the link with the original computer......"
......only refers to auto-syncing. This feature is not for an anti piracy feature, but more for preventing you from wiping everything from your ipod.
To make this clearer think of this scenario.
1, Home computer 5,000 songs on which auto sync to the ipod
2, Office computer 100 songs.
As soon as you plug in your ipod in the office one it will think "this isn't the computer that I normally auto sunc with. I better ask if my owner wants me to auto sync with this one" If you say yes please auto sync with this computer it will stop auto syncing from your home computer.
If it didnt do this and auto synced straight away you will loose your 5,000 home songs and get the 100 office ones.
As the auto sync feature is disabled in iTunes to start off with you can easily plug your ipod into a friends computer and transfer all their music to your ipod (if you legally own the rights to the music
) .
Even if this scenario occured at the original posters question, his computer should have recognised it.0
