  • I am fine thanks, still plodding along trying to have money left at the end of the month for a change!! Glad you are getting sorted, I do feel better for being in control of my money for once and I am sure once you have got over the initial panic/shock you will too ((hugs))
  • Just transferred some funds from the flexi loan to pay off MBNA completely, then will cut up that card.
One less creditor.... and not a nice one to deal with from what I read.
I've got a free brand new breadmaker to pick up from freecycle.
I've been doing my spending diary.
I have 29 items on Ebay and lots more to list.
    Slowly getting there.

Nothing too bad it's just whenever anyone posts about being hassled on the phone and at home, or getting no where when speaking to people on the phone, ie getting threats it always seems to be MBNA. So as ny debt with them is small I wuld rather get rid of them.

    How are you doing anyway?
  • Phew that's ok then! I have £2k on a ccard with them which I am going to start paying off at £150 a month (or more if I manage to sell some stuff on ebay!)

I am fine thanks, plodding along in a moneysaving way! Payday tomorrow thank god! We are going away tomorrow for the weekend (all saved up for, have the cash in our safe!) so I am wishing away the hours till then!

have a lovely time away. love the secret stash in the safe AND a fantastically disciplined July. Are you going to post your final tally for the month on payday? Did you have to buy the petrol in the end?

  • Done it already!
  • Wahey! Just paid and closed my MBNA account!
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, ya wotsits at customer services:p

Funnily they asked me why I wanted to close it? What apart from 34.9% interest and having frozen my card anyway for two late payments.
