Agreed, though the disadvantage is that you can't simply backup changed files, you have to backup the entire container each time.
Very true. I suppose a solution would be to use multiple smaller containers. Probably not practical but considering the level of paranoia we're talking of here it's probably within reasonable effort.

Doesn't really tell you the total size....but it doesn't seem like a lot of data at all?
If they're all under one master folder, right-click > Properties and then read the total file size.
Buy 2 USB sticks, make a copy of all your data on each. Keep one in your office and take one home.
You can use incremental backup software to update the sticks with new files (or ones that that have been altered).
Backup the "office" one every night at close of business, backup the "home" one each week.0 -
