I booked flights for friends last night with easy jet.
i booked
out manchester to alicante
ret alicante to liverpool
i booked one of my friends down as
for eg.
Tommy Jones
i've now been informed that the name on her passport is
Tommy Lee Jones.
Now would she still be able to fly, or do i have to ring up and ask them to add the lee.
thanks

Is Lee a middle name or surname? This may make a difference. Had a friend with a similar problem a while back, but because they had put, for example, Tommy and the name in passport was Thomas the airline was OK with it - recognised that Tommy is often used as abbreviation for Thomas and as surname was correct it was Ok. But thiis was several years ago and I know things have tightened up since. Does the website give any advice?0

Yes, that sounds right - I haven't flown with easyjet for a while, but I'm sure we only usually use first names - I've flown when friends who I'm sure don't know my middle name have made the booking.0 -

Ya fine - stop panicing!
I've booked tickets both ways: used 1st & last and used 1st, 2nd, and last. Never had any problems. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
thanks for that, i just didn't want to get to the airport in december and be stung for a fortune.
they want
£26 to add the middle name on the outward flight
and
£24 to add the middle name on the inbound flight0 -
Dont worry I have never used my middle name on any flight, even though on my passport and never had a problem, same with hubby and 2 children. Also have booked flights for friends and didn't know their middle name, so did not put down and no problems. Have flown with Easy jet and Ryan air with no problems lots of times.0
