                    hi
i have a problem with my sony ericsson w890i.
i got it 3 weeks ago and took a load of photos and transfered them to my laptop my connectig to laptop and opening dcim folder on phone and copying them across. no problem.
now , i took a load of photos the other night and the photos are all on the phone but when i connect to lap top they are not there. all the older photos are there but there is no sign of them when i connect to laptop.
an ideas?

I believe the w890i has some advanced photo analysis software that reviews each exposure to identify if it is a 'naughty' photo or not. If it determines they are of the 'cheeky' variety, it automatically stops you from copying them to a laptop.
Only kidding - sorry, I couldn't resist.
I've got the w810i and haven't experienced any problems. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you need to refresh the file view - maybe pressing F5 would refresh it and make them appear?
If that doesn't work, the only thing I can think of is that you try to use either bluetooth or IR to copy them to your laptop. If that doesn't work, how about sending them via bluetooth or IR to a friend's phone and then connecting your friend's phone to your PC.
Sorry I can't be of any other help. I thought I'd give it my best shot as you've had no other replies.0 -

when i connect to laptop via usb instead of selecting media transfer like i used to with w810i (and i thought i did when i 1st transfered the 1st lot of pics i did) i have to select mass storage .
