I didn't know PG tips did a seperate blend for Scots:confused:

How is it different, I'm intriegued?

It's just got less dark/tanniny tea in the blend as we have a lot of soft water areas so an ordinary tea brews much more acrid, Irish teas on the other hand are even more dark than even Yorkshire ones.

english tea with milk differs so much you cant always get a good cuppa how I like it,which is hot and not too strong with pasturised milk.
One of the most sensible posts. There's 5 people in my office, the tea we make differs considerably from person to person despite the fact we're using the same teabags, milk, kettle, etc. I never drink tea when I'm in a cafe in the UK, always coffee, as the quality of the drink varies so much. And if the Brits who work in cafes can't get it right, what chance do foreigners who don't even drink the stuff have?

Possibly a more sensible or useful point, but for anyone off to the States you can get Tetley British Blend in Walmart!

    I didn't mind 40 t-bags on a combined baggage allowance of 60kg (30kg each) & I drink Twinings, not builders:D

Wow, you get a luggage allowance of 30kg each????? What airline are you flying with? The charter long haul allowance has now gone down to a meagre 15kg each. This simply is not sufficient for a two week break. To increase to 20kg next summer they are demanding an extra £35. They are also very keen these days at the airport to charge excess baggage. Probably something to do with the cost of fuel.

To return to your original point. When I am away I can do without tea thank you very much. I find far more stuff to interest me than a cup of tea.
