    I used to think this was a great little community, where we could meet, and trade advice and experience as 'consumers' now the main thing thats being traded is insults and pettyness, its a shame. i feel like im back in the school playground.

    How do we know what the instructions say? only the OP knows and we have probably frightened them away and we will not find out any more details!

    My view is that there must be a fault, if chocolate gets into the motor when its being used, its a problem! how its washed is a red herring.

    Design faults do occur, its only when enough people bring it to the manufacturers attention that things get looked into.

    Completely agree. This isn't a post about seeking to "make something" out of the problem but rather to bring a potentially dangerous defect or design to the manufacturers attention
