Who is best to insure an older family +1

I am trying to arrange a single trip cover for myself, my husband, 19 & 17 year old sons and one of their 17 year old friends, but whoever I try is telling me that there should only be two over 18's in a family group, and if I try for a group it is telling me that there shouldn't be two 17 year olds? We usually go for annual insurance, but as we wont be travelling again until next spring  have decided to try for single cover, although this would be for four weeks. Do you think that I will have to insure my husband and myself separately from the boys, although surely this will work out more expensive. Any ideas anybody.

Hi. Last year we had travel insurance a bit like yours.... what I did was put husband and I = (a couple) and had free cover for a child of 17 years. Daughter of 23 years, I paid for single adult. She had her own policy.
I hope this makes sence...... for the friend I should think he will need a seperate form, as he is not family.
Best Wishes and a good holiday.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.
