We won one too but it's no use to us as we have a child who is at school when the offer is on!!! If we had known that before hand then we wouldn't have applied and left it for those people who could mke the dates!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breaks consist of a 4 night midweek stay at one of our 5 Self Catering
Holiday Centres starting on a Monday through to Friday. Selected*
    dates are available from 1st September, 2008 - 20th October, 2008

we didnt win one but offered us half price offer shame as really would of liked to have gone :(
  • I was lucky enough to win one as well and having just been there with my three children by paying £66 and topping up with clubcard deals I was really excited. Then I looked at the dates and realised that I would have to take the children out of school. Not really an option as the youngest is just staring school. Not wishing to sound ungrateful, but think it is a bit of a con to get rid of holidays which are less likely to be filled. Has anyone had any joy booking a holiday during school holiday times?

not a great idea taking kids out of school but you are allowed if you ask the school first and fill in a holiday request form. You are allowed two weeks each year out of school.
I've had to do it in past when money was (still is) tight.
    lots of small steps
will get you a long way

My dd will also be in full time education by the time we go next year. Dh should of just got back from deployment and will hopefully be on pre-op leave for our holiday date (fingers crossed:rotfl: ) so hope the school will be more than understanding about us wishing to take a short holiday together.
