2,500 free Pontins breaks for Royal Navy, British Army & Royal Air Force workers

Options
Monday 7 July 2008

What's this about?

Pontins is giving away 2,500 free four-day breaks to all seven of its holiday parks to those serving in the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force. Stays can be anytime throughout September and October 2008 and April and May 2009 with all types of apartment (club, classic and budget) being available for up to four people.

How to get them

If you work in the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force, register or login to the MOD Forces Discounts website - the offer is only available direct from here.

You'll then need to apply for your place by filling in a short on-line form. Choose to stay at any of Pontin's resorts, which are all self catering except for Blackpool and Pakefield, where half board will be provided free.

At the end of July/beginning of August 2,500 people will be selected at random and contacted by Pontins to confirm bookings. Pontins thought this was the fairest way to allocate spaces.

Anything else to know?

If you aren't one of the lucky people to get a free holiday, Pontins' press office has said there's a strong chance you'll be contacted and offered a significant discount on a future break anyway so if you fancy a cheap break, this is worth a shot.

Does anyone know if this offer is applicable to Vets? I left the RN in April, after 25 1/2 years and can get a MOD Certificate of Eligibility.
