o2 - early upgrade...
Right, I'm due for an upgrade on July 12th. Now I know thats only a few days away but my phone literally is dying and it'd be fab to have a new one by the weekend. I spoke to the retentions dept on Saturday and they said they'll be able to offer me a deal (a fab deal too) on a blackberry pearl but can't do anything until Saturday.
Do you think there is any way in hell they'd let me move this date forward a couple of days? Or do I just have to be patient and wait a week?

To answer my own question they won't - said I have to ring back on the 12th of July

Yeah, it's the way their system works. I phoned up a day early by mistake once and they couldn't help me til the next day. Until you reach your upgrade point their computer won't tell them how much discount etc you can have. At least that's what I've been told in the past and it seems reasonable.If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0

I have only been with o2 for about 8 weeks using a O2 XDA Graphite handset - I phoned up last thursday to transfer my old number to my new phone and was offered a blackberry (amongst others) as a free upgrade. I did not argue and the phone arrived this morning. Might give the wife the blackberry as the o2 phone has more functions without siging up to the blackberry system.0

I have been with o2 for 5+ years and most recent contract is for 18 months but got this on line and am able to upgrade once 17 months have passed.
