If he has done this to loads of other kids why not get all the parents to contact his parents at different times all in the same week and all saying the same thing. ie That they are going to report him to the Police due to his activities. That should scare the cr*p out of him as well.

This is an option think the trouble is most kids have there pc's in there bedrooms out of parents view we have ours in our front room so i saw what was happening by my daughters reactions..
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

As long as you have anti-virus software and firewall then your daughter really has nothing to worry about from these threats of hacking.

Given that they know eachother, however little, the main threat would be him discovering or guessing any passwords to MSN or other applications. Or the password reminder is a common way to get into an account. As someone else has said, mix things up with the answer, write it backwards or add numbers into it to. e.g. pets name and the year it was born or you got it.

Just say you have a log of these threats and that if anything does happen to her computer that the police will be first to know along with the school. They may even remove computer access to this boy at school. And that you also have knowledgable people to hand if anything happens.
