Made the mistake of ordering from the cartridgepeople - they took 4 days to despatch and then it went missing in the post. Their answer was that they couldn't do anything for 15 working days - Royal Mail don't deem it lost until then.

So no Ink and no refund for 25 days - so much for their website promise!

"Speed and quality of delivery is very important to us, we want you to be more than satisfied with our service"

    I don't think so!

  • Has anyone else tried inkredible.co.uk for their compatible T0711 on a DX4750 printer? I replaced just the black first and the printer then proceeded to empty all the original Epsom colour carts the next print job even though I wanted a few lines of text I got a full page of each colour! After puting in the compatable replacmentsit wouldn't work right with banding, smudging ect, they replaced them but the same problem (refuned straight away, no worry there). I've just had an e-mail from them saying that they have a newer version that will work on my DX7450 and has been tested, Has anyone else tried them as I'm rather dubious, but at £8.99 for a full set it could be a good one!

I used tesco compatibles on an old epson photo printer. They worked fine.

Just bought a BX300F and think I will stick to originals until I'm ready to replace the printer!

  • I don't know if this is the right place to ask this so apologies if not, and feel free to move, but I'd be grateful if someone can help...

I have an epson DX4700 and I bought an epson T0711 black ink cartridge from Wilkinsons.. I have tried installing it (well, whipping the old one out, and the new one straight in!) and it's telling me it's not compatible - telling me to get a T0711?

By the way, it's the first time I've bought a cartridge for it - I got it last christmas (07) and the one I got with it only recently ran out...

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

the dx4700 and dx4750 that I have are the same just a different colour lid, you just need to tell it that you know it's not an original the box that comes up should have an option to allow you to just continue - cant remember what it says.

But as the carts supplied with the printer only have about 20-25% the ink of a normal cart if one of them lasted a year I would stick to the originals if there going to last you so long and save yourself the trouble, the cheaper compatibles tend to dry out faster and would likely need replacing before the ink ran out.

Hi :) Was that post to me? If so, I bought an original ink cartridge? I bought an epson T0711 but it doesn't seem to be identifying it - it also doesn't let me install non compatibles, telling me I need to buy a T0711 (which I already have)

If your post wasn't to me... oops and as you were! :D
  • Just bought an EPSON SX200 from Tesco so if anybody has any tips for cartridges it would be appreciated. Thx.

@ Fairydust, yes I meant that for you the only other thing I can think off then is that you should check the manual to see if you are doing something wrong? If you have vista you can ...... Start>Control panel>Hardware and sound>Printers>Epson stylus DX7400 series>Printing preferences>Maintenance>Ink cartridge replacement........It will then run you through the procedure if you literally 'just whipped it out' the first time that should sort out the problem. Hope that helps. :)
