There's a site here that's supposed to tell you what you may or may not get.
I can't comment on how accurate it will be though.Dave. :wave:0 -
my first insinct is that it will work poorly.. you might not get any reception, especially if you get not FM reception.
Internet radio might be the best option for yourself, if you have a decent broadband connection. Logik do a radio, that looks like a radio, but needs an internet connection, and you have literally thousands of stations you can have!

ta...got the slowest broadband but I do get some internet stations. Not classic FM though, which is what I want. It cuts out all the time and drives me insane... Thanks both, I will go and scout around some more. x
Edited to add, I tried the postcode thing and I dont have any wee green ticks at all . boooohooo !0 -

well, in that case the internet radio would be pointless for you.... it uses the same streams as you get on your computer anyway..
the only other way, is freeview, or sky, or freesat (do they have radio stations), or freesatfromsky.0 -

Yes, Freesat has radio stations as Sky, FreesatFromSky and Freesat simply use the same satellites and just pull in the same channels / stations - apart from Sky subscription where you get the extra TV channels, but that's only because the others don't give you access to the subscription channels as you aren't paying for them (FreesatFromSky) or don't include a decoder (Freesat). It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
we have sky cos even with a booster on the aerial we cant get much signal...the sky is in the livingroom with the DH...I wanted some music through in the kitchen. I suppose hiring a bulldozer and moving some hills is an option...0

well.. if you already have sky, the easiest, and probably cheapest option is to get freesat, it uses your existing dish, plug it in, in whatever room you have, and enjoy the tv/radio stations on offer there..
probably a little less drastic than getting a bulldozer...0 -
There's the Sky Gnome, though it means whatever channel you select on the Gnome the main box will also show.
You could fit a Quad LNB on your dish and run another feed from there to the kitchen for a Sky box or Freesat box and connect audio out to aux in on a mini- Hi-Fi or on the Sky box attach a Gnome. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
