Number Keeps Ringing And Hanging Up

For the past month or so ive been getting the number 02031071130 ringing me, the first few times i answered it and the line went dead, i tried ringing it and its just a continuous tone, like the number doesnt excist. I rang orange my network, and they said they hadnt heard of any scams or anyone else complain about it. I saved the number in my phone book as "dont answer" and just cut it off when it rings but im getting at least 1 call a day. Anyone got any ideas? i found this http://whocalled.us/lookup/02031071130 so other people have had the same problem. Ive also use alibaba in the past, but i dont get why its a uk number

It is probably a call centre in India or somewhere.

The computer dials loads of numbers and the first one to pick up gets the sales pitch. You are just not picking up quick enough!!

I have had these before and just hang up immediately that I hear nothing at the other end.

It's a UK number for 2 reasons - they are using a UK-based delivery company for their calls, and their outdial number will be presented to the recipient prior to delivery. The other reason is overseas call centres can often interfere with the number presented, and on arrival in the UK is passed on without modification. Previously, BT gateways stripped off any number and just flagged the call as INTERNATIONAL but this happens less.

I have been getting this - driving me mad. Regret the day I joined Alibaba. If you call 0800 9533333 or 0521370 as recommended by the TPS they will try to stop this 'silent call'. I have done this and hope this will stop this problem.
