WHo to use for combined package?

Hi

Just moving to new place and need to set up a combined phone,tv and broadband package. Don't know who to use, anyone got a recommendation.

Looking for the cheapest deal in a non cabled area - only require basic channels, use broadband a lot and phone use is not massive.

Currently paying BT about £50 a month for just phone and broadband alone!

Thanks.

Check on samknows if your exchange has Sky/Easynet.
You will need a BT fixed line but the total package would be competitive.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Hi,
thanks for this but I don't understand the results that I've just got from SamKnows.
    Apparently my exchange is
    "Market 1
This exchange has BT Wholesale as the sole provider of broadband services"

Does this mean I won't be able to get Sky or Virgin to provide me with a phone/broadband/tv package:eek: Am I stuck with BT:eek:

Yes basically Greystoke has no LLU presence so you can choose any ISP that uses a BT line e.g. here not just BT. More choices here, read users reviews/ratings here.

Thanks for the v.useful info and links.

To confirm (for my thicko sake) -

    1. My exchange doesn't allow for a combined TV/phone/bband package.
    2. I can get broadband alone from a variety of sources.

Last question - should I be able to get a combined bband and phone package from a variety of sources or is it just the broadband?

    Thanks for your patience.....

Possible but I'm not too familliar with combined packages e.g. Sky here because they don't have their own equipment in the exchange, it would cost a bit more.

Yes hundreds of different ISP's via a BT line, not just BT.

It is possible but keeping your line with BT is often the best option - more options for calls and broadband. If you change your line to one specific provider, you are stuck with that provide unless you switch back to a BT line.
