Hi there, I have been sent a wireless router from Talk Talk as a thank you for using their services. I now wish to have a go at installing it as we have a laptop which we could use with the wireless connection. I have had the instructions out but nowhere does it say whether I have to unplug or uninstall my existing modem before installing the new one. Has anyone got any ideas and advice please. Thanks

Yes unplug the existing modem USB? and configure the new wireless router by entering it's IP address in your browser (given in the manual). Your router will now connect and stay connected even when you switch off your PC's. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I've been with TT for ages.
How come you got a free router?
I'm sure we'd all want to know!
