3510i confusion

I have a brand new Nokia 3510i on orange pay as you go.

I want to put an O2 sim in it (it is dual band) and as i thought it would be locked, I used the links on this site to get an unlocking code - when entered the message "phone was not locked". So apparently its not locked.
However when i but i put the O2 sim in and turn it on it asks for a restriction code.
I am very confused - anybody got any suggestions please?

I don't know if Orange have done something with the firmware on the phone, but, my sister has the same phone on Orange and, when she tries to use Tesco mobile (O2 network) it sometimes works and other times it does not connect/register to the O2 network....sim works fine on other phones

it sounds like not all locks are open - probably not entered code 7
post or pm me your imei and ill check the code

Genius drahcir, I hadn't put code #7 in. I have now and its removed the restriction.

Do I need to enter all of the 7 codes? So far I have only entered 1 2 and 7.

you only needed code 7 to start with m8
you wouldnt be able to put all codes in anyway as you only get 5 tries
