OP, my h2b got my original e ring from H Samuels... they told him nothing of the quality of the diamond (awful) and he didn't know anything about jewellery! lol I made him return it. Yes it was a bit embarassing, but we saved hundreds by going to eBay.

PLEASE go to an independent jeweller in Hatton Garden or birmingham's jewellery quarter if you can. EVEN BETTER, buy online. You could get a high quality certificated 0.2ct diamond for the price H Samuels are quoting, maybe even a bigger diamond!

If you want any more info about Hatton Garden (where we eventually got my 2nd e ring) or anything else, post here. I also bought my first e ring off eBay. 0.5ct baguette cut VSI diamond in heavy platinum (OK the colour is only I but unless your budget is limitless you probably have to compromise on one of the 4Cs!)... £450. See a difference between that and H Samuel's price!?

I agree with what everyone has said - you don't want an included diamond and especially not for that price.

I had a ring from the JQ in Brum - three diamonds of a total one carat of F colour and VS2 quality on a platinum band and it cost £2,000 so you can get that ring for much less money IMO.

I went to samson Gold, and if you are near London can recommend Holts (although they did pearls for me and more gem dealers but are fabulous).

Any high street jeweller will rip you off but please don;t buy a piqued stone as it won;t sparkle nicely and you will regret it.
