Going to Trinidad, what type phones work there?

Hi i am off to Trinidad (West Indies) and wanted to buy a cheap payg phone here, have it unlocked and use a local sim card, but I'm not sure if the phone has to be triband or quadband, could someone shed some light on this please, thanks
