have you considered a berlingo, kangoo or peugeot alternative

Have you considered the Samaritans before it's too late?;) ;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

If i wanted your opinion i would give it to you ;)

They are good cars, people who doubt them usually have nothing to base it on really,

Is it the looks of the multipla which attract? Or do you require 6 seats? In which case, Kia Carens/sedona, Hyundai Trajet, Toyota Picnic, Honda Stream, Vauxhall Zafira may be a better bet.

I am looking to buy a Fiat Multipla next week. I've not owned a Fiat before and was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere I could download a checklist of common issues. I know Parkers . co . uk do these but they are £4.99 and I don't want to pay for something which I am sure I can get elsewhere for free.

I've been trawling different sites, and have an idea of most common issues like, door seals, rear hinges, excessive brake and tyre wear, would like something a bit more in depth though.

    Cheers

Common issues? They're all extremely ugly and handle worse than an articulated lorry. I had one as a rental car once and apart from thanking heaven that none of my friends saw me in it, I have never driven such a dog of a car.

Weird, when it first came out the motoring press (when naming it car of the year) mentioned the good handling of the petrol. The same unreliable petrol engine that I have had for 4.5 years and 40k miles and have had to spend all of 200 quid for a new sensor on plus annual servicing costs of £100 including MOT. I prefer my kids not to be in the crumple zone in the back with their heads inches from the rear window in the event of being shunted from behind as is the case in the back row of seats in the other cars mentioned.
    I think....

I don't think so, sorry but this car was designed ugly irrespective of it's price/performance/reliability.

All the alternatives are preferable in my view,

Did you try the multipla owners forum on yahoo groups?
Nope, yahoo is rubbish. I have tried lots of times to search for info on there and given up. Cheers for the tip though.

Do not buy the 1.6 petrol engine version, there unreliable gas guzzling rubbish.
What year is the car your looking at.??
It would be a diesel, and the one I was looking at is now sold but is a '51 plate.

Not really the looks, although I am not bothered by them. I test drove one the other day and really like the ammount of space inside.
Have looked at the Kia's and they are a consideration, the Honda's are expensive, and I would not have a Zafira if someone paide me. I think Vauxhall could have done better with this car.
Will now go and investigate the Toyota and Hyundai, cheers.

hewhoisintheknow, sorry couldn't quote your post. I drove a Kangoo for 18 months as a company car, wouldn't want to do that again. With the Peugeot's we use them at work and they are very unreliable as for Citroen this is another consideration, although it would probably be the Picasso rather than the Berlingo.

wolvoman, poor handling? What was you doing with it? I took one for a test drive and was amazed about the lack of body roll and the way I could take it round corners. I was lucky that the place I test drove it was close to motorway, main roads, urban and rural routes. So I could test it in most conditions, it was also raining. I did not have a problem with it.

    Thanks for the info guys/gals.
