Check and Win AC Competition
1) The closing date for entries into this competition is midnight, Thursday 31 July, 2008 (the“Closing Date”).
2) There is one prize to be won by one individual winner for each day of the competition. The prize will consist of a Playstation3 games console and game. (the “Prize”)
3) Entry to the competition is via the Availability Checker, on the TalkTalk website at
www.talktalk.co.uk
4) To enter, you must:
a) be resident in the UK, (excluding Isle of Man & Channels Islands)and 18
years of age or older; and
b) submit your phone number and postcode on the Availability Checker (by
submitting your entry you certify that you are 18 years of age or over).
5) No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the competition.
6) Only one entry per telephone number submitted on the Availability Checker is permitted. Duplicate entries will not be permitted. By entering this agreement you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
7) The prize winner will be the first person drawn at random after close of business on the Closing Date by an independent person and who has complied with the requirements of paragraph 4 above. The winner will be notified by phone within fourteen days of the Closing Date and will be sent the Prize within 28 days of the Closing Date.
8) The following are not eligible to participate: (i) employees and immediate family members ofemployees of any of The Carphone Warehouse Group plc, its subsidiaries (including TalkTalk), agents and advisors; and (ii) any other persons assisting with this competition.
9) An entry will be void if it is deemed (in TalkTalk’s sole discretion) to have been made by an ineligible person or to be incomplete or illegible.
10) TalkTalk does not make and assumes no responsibility and is not liable for any representation, warranty, condition or guarantee in respect of the Prize (other than those warranties or conditions implied by statute which cannot be excluded).
11) There will be no cash alternative offered. The Prize is non-negotiable, nontransferable and nonrefundable. TalkTalk reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
12) TalkTalk reserves the right to use the photograph and likeness of the winners for publicity purposes and to publicise statements made by or attributed to the prize winners relating to TalkTalk or this or any other promotion or offer, unless otherwise requested.

14) The promotion will be governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
15) The promoter of this competition is TalkTalk, 5 Portal Way, London, W3 6RT, UK.
16) Nothing in these rules shall affect your statutory rights. TalkTalk may (at its sole discretion) decline to enter into any correspondence save as otherwise stated in these rules.
17) TalkTalk will use the phone number entered into the availability checker to

Did anyone get confirmation of entry? I got:


We've just done a quick test on your phone line and it looks like you've entered a number that is not recognised as a BT phone number (probably a Cable number such as NTL, Telewest or Virgin Media), which is incompatible with TalkTalk broadband


Which I knew I would get as I have cable phone - but the criteria is that you enter your phone number and post code to check. Just 'cos you can't get Talktalk doesn't mean you shouldnt be entered into the draw, right?

Talktalk are our phone providers already, but still phone weekly to try and get us to join :rolleyes: but now I recognise the number and just ignore them, it's always 01133902021 btw.
