Hi all! Great forum by the way.
I went in to my local hsbc bank yesterday and was asked for a temporary overdraft limit of £100 for two weeks. Shes said that my account score was quite low and that i wouldnt get anything.
(I dont get any wages paid into the account but i collect money from my parents/sister and boyfriend, which amount to over £2000 a month because they are additional holder on my credit card and use my card)
When here computer screen came back she said that she could give me a £400 limit overdraft limit and and i was also appovered for a credit card at a limit of £1750!!!

I took then up on both offers. My question is will my Hsbc credit card account performance/conduct report to a credit refencence agencies? And if so which one!!
p.s i have been a bank account holder since 2000 but only got a OD and CC yesterday.
Thanks!!!

I don't think HSBC report to the CRA's.
But if I'm wrong, expect a deluge of people contradicting me!0 -
I was under the impression that they will start reporting from 1st August 2005, there was a thread on this forum. but i cant find it anymore. :mad:0

Who benefits and in what way from the fact that your parents, sister and her friend have cards for which you are responsible.
In certain circumstances it is a good idea for people to have their own card................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
HSBC will report to Experian if you borrow money from them. If you have an overdraft on your current account, it will be reported. if you have a balance on your credit card it will be reported. If you pay your minimum repayment on time, it will be reported.
I clear my complete balance on my HSBC card every month, but it still showed up on my Experian report.Money in longest works hardest0 -
Interesting. My FD Gold credit card has yet to be reported on Experian...Ethical moneysaver0

I was under the impression that HSBC don't report, but that info came to me a while ago. Strangely I have a whacking great overdraft facility with NatWest (0% - well used) and they don't report on my current account to either agency, but do on my credit card.

My sister opened HSBC Bank Account and Credit Card account this year in March. Both accounts are showing with Equifax & Experian.
