I am eighteen and working full time (earning over £20,000). Will I be eligible for an O2 Contract? (I have never been in debt before).

you should be eligible subject to credit check, as long as you take passport/driving licence and/or credit/debit card for the credit check

My son's girlfriend just took out a contract with 02, she's a student, working part time to get her through. I helped her do it online (the deals are different, some of the online tariffs offer unlimited 0 to 02 calls) and it went through no problem.
We also went through the topcashback site, so should get £35 back eventually!

Have a look on https://www.02.co.uk, and go through a cashback site if you see something you like - they'll deliver the phone to you free, so it'll save you the bus fare into town as well!

if going through O2.co.uk, don't forget money back via quidco. (£35 back - if you don't use quidco, then sign up, and as they take the first £5 of earnings per year, it'll mean you get £30 from this plus all of any further quidco offers you go for in the rest of the year).

I got my 1st contract in my own name with Orange at the age of 18. I was a student at the time, and I only worked on an ad-hoc basis- doing bar work. You should (in my experience) have absolutely no problem getting a contract phone.
