Nokia 6120 DO NOT GET THIS MOBILE

I bought a Nokia 6120 with Three, and when using the mobile for 5 minutes it gets extremely hot . The ear piece of the handset gets extremely hot, so my advice would be DO NOT GET THIS MOBILE

Phoned up three and they said that nokia has informed them that the phone gets "warm", which is an understatement. They offered me at first the same handset replacement, which i did not accept but however the offered a reconditioned mobile.

The nokia 6120 is a great looking phone its a shame about the glitch they have.

I have this phone on 3 -- not had any problems or noticed the ear piece getting hot etc. Must be a fault on your phone.

I bought 6120 from Three last month and was using very sparingly usually calls lasting less than 5 mins. Today I made a call lasting more than 10 mins and ear-piece became really hot. I never experience just hotness, let alone warm, on any other handset before (I have used 2 Siemens, 2 other Nokia and 1 Sony Ericssion).

Many people have mentioned this in this review site -> http://www.yourmobilephonereviews.co.uk/nokia_6120_classic_reviews.htm.

Will speak to Three about it.. Extremely unhappy

Make sure you get a handset from three as they told me that they are aware of the problem already from Nokia.

    I finally got my handset.

After getting the mobile, i searched on google regarding the overheating problem and lots of hits as you said. Shame i did not find this out before getting the Nokia 6120.

What handset did you get.. I got mine on a 6 months contract, so not sure what handset's are applicable.

Was it easier to convince Three of the 6120 problem???

This model has always got a little warm, not enough to bother me though. Do your homework before buying! This handset unit has been around for almost (if not over) a year.

Have one myself and yes it does get really hot! Also found two other owners with the same problem.

Yes it's a great phone but I did get it as a second handset so I'm not too worried...
