I want to buy a carpet cleaner

but i dont know what to look for. I have a 11 week old puppy, who we are trying to toilet train. She is pretty good most of the time, she wees outside and poos on paper but has got this habit of doing about a teaspoon of wee on the hall carpet carefully avoiding the newspaper. I am cleaning the carpet each time she does it but as my hall carpet is a pale green its beginning to look a bit grotty. Now i know i could hire a carpet cleaner, but to be honest, i think i am going to have to clean it on a regular basis - or at least till she stops doing this so so i am thinking of buying one. Can anyone recommend one? Or at least tell me what to look for as i dont have a clue.

I've got a Bissell Proheat 7920, which is absolutely brilliant. Used it this morning on my mattress, when my 3 year old spilt his milk. Quick to set up, easy to use & fantastic results, but £200+ new. It depends on what you want to spend & how much you'll use it. I've used the Georges & the Vaxs in the past & they're terribly hard work. The Bissell cleaners are upright, but come with tools in much the same way as Dysons etc now do. The Proheat models heat the cleaning fluid themselves, so your carpets get a nice warm wash even at the end.
(and no, I don't work for them)0 -
