i was a leper until january this year. I kept applying, but the result was always the same; a big fat no!

I used to know the wording of the rejection letters off by heart, although I have never had problems travelling without one, just my solo card and good ole travellers cheques.

last year and 2006 I had a cashplus card though, which after 4 months they upgraded for use in car hire transactions.

In January this year however, I got accepted for aqua (£1000), Vanquis (£250) and capital one (£200).

Soon your luck will turn. :)

    capital one balance = 0.00
    vanquis balance = 0.00
Aqua balance =690.00 (due getting sacked in april, and being out of work a month)

I've been turned down for the Vanquis & the Capitol One Classic. I have my credit files from Experian & Equifax, nothing not a bad thing on there, never ever had credit in any which way shape or form (catch 22 I guess).
Been on electoral roll for just over 6yrs now, I earn about £11K per year working in steady employment. All I got to my name is a phone line & car insurance.

I even had to apply for a current account twice from Alliance & Lecister since I got turned down for one of those too the first time :(

its not a need its just i want to build my score file up as this would get me a better rate when the market sorts its self out and i go for a morgage in a few years its not the apr im bothered about as i would charge small and pay off all my balance the day after just to get the score up i hope this makes sense it will just be used as a 0% tool

Same here; waiting to hear from Vanquis but it doesn't look good. I am trying to sort out fraud t the moment which I have gone into on another thread.
