I think I would rather stick splinters under my fingernails than watch a DVD on Margaret Thatcher, after all we who were around when she was around have had the dubious fortune of watching her for a long long long looooong time!

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

There was an advertisement on television for a crime/murder mystery book free with one of tomorrow's broadsheets. The sound was muted so I never got to see the whole ad.

I think it was either The Times or The Daily Telegraph so keep a look out anyway.

    Updated tonight

The book is "The Lady's No. 1 Detective Agency" and its free with The Scotsman so only north of the border I'm afraid.
The Scotsman is available down south . I'm not sure how widely

This morning, I saw a postes in my local WH Smiths promoting a new DVD offer with the Daily Mail - a disc of a divverent war movie for the next week or so. I was in a rush, so didn't note the exact details, but I think it starts Saturday, with the usual token redemption for subsequent discs - it looks like two of teh discs containe two films (one of which was the classic David Niven film "A Matter of Life and Death")
I cannot find any more information on the Daily Mail website, alas.
    Au Res.,

In the Mail on Sunday, the collection continues with Return to The River Kwai. Then every day for two weeks, you can pick up another Classic War Movie including all time greats like Reach for The Sky, In Which We Serve, Aces High, Above Us The Waves, Battle of The River Plate, All Quiet on The Western Front and many more from your local branch of Tesco WHSmith or Eason.

A few more war films, looking like a good collection.
I have a deep burning indifference
