Not sure how they will split them given there appears to be 16 episodes and 12 (?) Suns ! (Monday to 2nd Saturday)

The full list of what & when is now available, but there does seem to be a discrepancy with Series 2 which makes it a total of 15 episodes and not the 16 I originally posted. IMDB says there are 9 episodes - The Sun will only contain 8 ! (Details at the bottom)

    Week One - SERIES 1

    Monday 21st - Episode 1.1 - Big Brother

Del’s confident that he’s on to a winner with Trigger’s consignment of Old English vinyl briefcases. How can his brother Rodney even think of abandoning the high flying world of trading for a real job?

Tuesday 22nd - Episode 1.2 - Go West Young Man
Rodney’s depressed. His mate Mickey Pearce has moved in on his bird – Monica of the fat thighs – and life isn’t exactly a social whirl. Del has the solution – they’ll all be millionaires in a year – cue his smooth friend Boycie and a very dodgy deal.

    Wednesday 23rd - Episode 1.3 - Cash And Curry
Del’s swooping in on the deal of a lifetime – it could keep them in pilau rice forever. All he has to do is get hold of a poxy statue, trouble is, he hasn’t reckoned on a touch of gang warfare...

Thursday 24th - Episode 1.4 - The Second Time Around
Del’s rekindled passion with an old flame Pauline, and it looks like wedding bells are in the air again. Rodney’s not so thrilled after what happened to her first two husbands

    Friday 25th - Episode 1.5 - A Slow Bus To Chingford
Del has a dream: The Trotter corporate skyscraper, rising majestically against the Peckham skyline. It’s time for the latest moneymaking scam, Trotters Ethnic Tours...

Saturday 26th - Episodes 1.6 & 1.7 - The Russians Are Coming PLUS Christmas Crackers
The threat of nuclear war looms over Peckham. What will become of the Nag’s Head if the Russians attack? One thing’s guaranteed, the Trotters will be sitting pretty in their DIY shelter...

    And in the Christmas special,
Christmas Crackers, it’s anthracite roast potatoes and green stuff all round –Grandad’s cooking dinner! Trouble is Rodney’s in danger of dying of boredom. Then the glittering attractions of the Monte Carlo Club beckon.

    Week Two - SERIES 2

Monday 28th - Episode 2.1 - The Long Legs Of The Law

Strewth! Rodders’ besmirching the good reputation of the Trotter family by dating a policewoman.

    Tuesday 29th - Episode 2.2 - Ashes To Ashes
Del’s busy selling Trig’s gran’s genuine antique urns. Trouble is, one of them is Trig’s grandad’s last resting place!

    Wednesday 30th - Episode 2.3 - A Losing Streak
Del and Boycie are set to play the biggest poker game Peckham’s ever seen but what exactly has Boycie got up his sleeve?

    Thursday 31st - Episode 2.4 - No Greater Love
Rodney’s got himself a bird at last! Unfortunately she’s no spring chicken and her jailbird husband is about to be released.

Friday 1st Feb - Episode 2.5 & 2.6 - The Yellow Peril PLUS It Never Rains
Del’s got a job painting a Chinese restaurant – but is he wise to get some help from Rodney ‘Leonardo’ Trotter?

    AND on the same disc...
The Trotter family holiday is underway when Grandad runs into a bit of trouble with the Spanish police.

Saturday 2nd Feb - Episode 2.7 & 2.8 or is it 2.9 - A Touch Of Glass PLUS Diamonds Are For Heather (Christmas Special)
Del introduces the Dresden-collecting aristocracy to some North Korean porcelain ...

    AND his chandelier cleaning service.

    THE MISSING EPISODE
IMDB has series 2 containing 9 episodes ...

    Specifically =>

Season 2, Episode 8: Christmas Trees
Original Air Date: 27 December 1982

which I would have said WAS the Christmas show (aired the day after Boxing Day) BUT this appears NOT to be in the Sun's Series 2 - the Christmas show being IMDB's episode 9 (The CHANDELIER one) "Diamonds Are For Heather" which apparently was screened 3 days later on 30 December 1982.

I might just send them an email ...... ?

    OK sorted this out.

CHRISTMAS TREES was shown on 28.12.82

If has a duration of ONLY 8 minutes.

It is an extract from something called "THE FUNNY SIDE OF CHRISTMAS"

Note: This special is not available commercially !!

So there will only be 8 episodes with 2.8 being "Diamonds Are For Heather"

We've been away for 2 weeks and missed the Neil Diamond "Jazz Singer" DVD with The Mail. Was there a phone number in the paper to ring if the DVD was 'missing'???

Have a look in the charity shops. I've seen two this week at 10p each.
I bought a Jean Michele thingy cd of Oxygene for 10p too, still feel robbed though. Hoping to find some of the Stiff compilations this week.

Inside the Saturday Telegraph next week-Plenty with Meryl Streep directed Schepisi

PLENTY is an exploration of post World War II European society and its discontents, as symbolized by the shifting emotional and political alliances of one English woman. For Susan Traherne (Meryl Streep), nothing can match the heroism and excitement of her wartime involvement with the French Resistance; nor can any man match the young soldier with whom she had an affair. Back in England, her youthful optimism slowly fades as she experiments with a variety of political movements and a variety of men. Tracey Ullman costars as Susan's constant companion, who lives life as a bohemian free spirit, uninhibited, but unable to stop Susan's decline into depression and unabashed alienation. Ultimately, Susan settles into a marriage with an upper class diplomat that leads to disillusionment and, finally, madness. Meryl Streep gives an astonishing performance as the fiercely independent and emotionally overwrought woman, with command performances from a remarkable ensemble cast including: John Geilgud, Tracey Ullman, Sam Neill, and Sting. The film is based on the critically acclaimed play by David Hare
    ( synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes)
And on Sunday Cyrano de Bergerac- Depardieu; directed Rappeneau
    218354.jpg
famed 17th century writer courageously makes enemies of France's polite society by exposing their hypocrisies in political pamphlets. But his bravery in politics does not extend to romance. Cyrano de Bergerac, pining away for love of his cousin Roxanne, refuses to reveal his affections for fear that she will find his grotesque form unappealing. Instead, Cyrano teaches the beautiful but stupid Christian how to woo Roxanne. Though she initially finds Christian attractive, it is his beautiful poetry and gorgeously written letters -- all penned by Cyrano -- that win her heart. Christian dies in battle before he ever has the chance to tell Roxanne the truth, and Cyrano keeps the secret until his own death.
