The Jazz Singer DVD will be interesting to see.
The Official DVD sold by Optimnum Distributers is the worse transfer of a dvd i have ever seen, including the very very cheap dvds you can get.
Evidently the 25th anaversery R1 version by Anchor Bay is the best you can get.The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -

Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985, IMdB 7.5) - The Guardian
Directed by Hector Babenco
Starring William Hurt, Raul Julia, Sonia Braga
This is not a 1950s sci-fi B-movie, but an unusual, intimate tale of two very different prisoners — a flamboyant gay man (William Hurt) and a reactionary political prisoner (Raul Julia) — who share a cell in a South American jail. (The Spider Woman of the title refers to an old movie plot Hurt lovingly recounts to Julia.) Hector Babenco's film hinges on the believability of their relationship and the way the vast gap between their opposing beliefs and attitudes slowly begins to narrow. Fortunately, the leads are top-notch (Hurt won an Oscar for his performance), and the juxtaposition of dream-like monochrome fantasy with harsh, squalid reality is wonderfully conceived.
