Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

I'll move this thread to the 'Mobile Phones' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

My Mum has one like that without the branding. Mum seems to think it's not bad, but I am not over-impressed with it - it works well enough, but it seems to be more expensive than it is worth (in my opinion at least, but then chances are my opinion is irrelevant as a lot of other people seem to love it).

If you like the phone, you'll only be paying £10-£15 over the current going rate for a standard refurbished 6230 for this branded version, so it is not too bad a price.

As for whether it is a downgrade, it depends on the phone you are currently using. The biggest question you might not think of would be form factor - you say you use a flippy phone and you might find you prefer that to standard phones (I do - makes it harder to dial while it is in your pocket, which I find reassuring). However, if you keep it in a small pocket in your bag (as my Mum does), this might not bother you.
