cala bona majorca in April

Have you tried a comparison site for car hire - all the ones we got quotes for were between £30-£40 last April. I think we just happened to be lucky with the flights, got some of the 1p ones, which were £20 incl taxes. think they are few and far between in school hols though - £100 pp for school hols seems reasonable to me.

Having been to Cala dor in Majorca at easter one year, I wouldn't do it again, not for a beach/pool holiday anyway. We ended up hiring a car and seeing most of the island, which was nice but not what we'd gone for.
The weather just isn't warm enough for the pool or the sea - our hotel had an indoor pool but it was tiny.
The caves of drach were warm though!

The first time was an all inclusive allocation on arrival deal. I think we paid around £250 each for a week in the Easter hols. We were placed in the Saturno/Jupiter complex in Alcuidia, which was ok, but a bit too touristy for me.

The following year, we spotted a stupidly cheap offer of flights for £40 each - that was returns with all the charges etc included. Hadn't intended on going on holiday, but couldn't resist at that price! Booked a self catering apartment in Cala D'Or and really enjoyed it.

My parents have been to Cala Bona and they enjoyed it there.

echoing what some have posted the weather is really unpredictable in april going through may .....it's the only time of the year where over the course of a week to 10 days you can have had better weather in the UK than Mallorca.
This May was one of the worst people had known for years....in fact the back end of April and early May was the best weather until June arrived.
next year it could be great
