Hi,
I was with AOL and had several problems regarding broadband speed etc, there customer service was terrible and cost to phone there helpline was very expensive,
I am with TalkTalk which AOL is owned by TalkTalk (carphone warehouse) i must admit even thou there call centres are i think India my broadband and line has been great and if you need help you have to phone a 0845 number but it free for talktalk customers.
Also TalkTalk has a forum on where if you have any issues for example speed issues etc you can post details and they will try and sort your problem out via the forum as they have there engineer techies on the forums who can change settings to improve speed etc.
I am happy with TalkTalk and would recommend.0 -
Been with AOL for 2 years after being really annoyed with the rubbish service from tesco and BT internet I was happy with AOL.But very recently, the last 2 or 3 months I keep getting disconnected, some websites just dont work for me,everything else is sloooooowwwwww and I put it down to talk talk after reading this. The most annoying thing is having to keep resetting the internet connection with wep codes and everything after getting disconnected.
Dont know if they still have the free online support but I have used that lots in the past and it has been very good indeed,no need to phone."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
Further to my post #5, I've now jumped ship from aol, I must say there was no problem with the connection, it was purely a financial decision, I was paying £14.99 month, they offered to put me on £12.99 with a new contract & new router, - I didn't want either and so parted company with them.
Now with o2, cheaper, a bit faster and customer services calls are free.0
