Orange livebox help please

You only need a microfilter when you have one or more devices plugged into a phone socket.
So, no you don't have to plug a filter into a BT socket that is not in use.

What's your current status? is the @ Still flashing?

Can you connect to the Live box?
(may need a wired connection to do this if you have not set up the wireless connection yet)

The main screen will show which services are active, but you won't get anywhere if the @ is flashing. Does indicate the broadband line has not been activated yet or there is a fault.
Back to Orange.

Could try a live box reset:

Unplug everything from the live box.
Hold down the pairing '1' button and whislt keeping it held down, plug in the power.
Keeps holding 1 down until 3 lights remain lit, then let ago.
Plug in the BT line (leave the wireless phone line unconnected for now)
After 2 mins the @ should be lit and the ! should be flashing.

if the @ is still not flashing - again it's a line fault/not set up by Orange yet

After a quick google, I stand corrected... you don't need a filter for telephone sockets with nothing plugged in. Cheers Viper. :embarasse

I lost connection last night and again this morning. Orange are probably doing "maintenance".
It's beyond me why Orange always do "maintenance" at the weekends when more people are using the internet.......:rolleyes:
