Why are you moaning about people who've had bad experiences with a company? Because you didn't have anything go wrong doesn't mean that their experiences are made up or exaggerated. To me how good a company truly is isn't when everything goes right (you could easily only be in 1% of people with no problems) but how good they are at resolving things when they go wrong. Some companies have even posted on this forum pretending to be customers to try and overturn negative comments made against the company. So as much as you may doubt the sincerity of the "moanies" I'm rather sceptical of new posters who merely come newly to a forum to simply praise one company and do nothing else. ;)

I had very bad experience with kybotech - we ordered BBQ and it said that they have it in stock. 2 weeks later we haven't received it and it changed that they will have it stock in 1 month!!!! When contacted it took a while to get out of them that they actually don't have any and it might take a long time for me to get one. And that is after they charged my card!!!! Needless to say I requested for the order to be cancelled and money returned!!!!!!

Liked the look of the lollipop playhouse with GardenBuildings Direct (& the price)... but having read these posts, I was concerned but decided to risk it.
...Ordered evening of 10/7 - website said expected delivery 10-15 working days....
...Got an email the following day: "due to unforseen high demand..." etc, delivery could take 6-9 working days.
...Received 2 further emails, along similar lines, each time time, the delay got shorter!
...Then a tel call from them arranging delivery:

Arrived today - 5 working days after order.

Never had so many emails etc updating on order status from any other company... may'be as a result the comments on this board??

In my view, excellent quality, very good price, excellent customer service & have no hesitation recommending them.

Hi, I was going to buy a Log Cabin from Garden Buildings Direct (Kybotech) til I discovered that their website seemed to be deliberately misleading. I was going to buy a cabin called the BillyOh Warwick Log Cabin Inc Floor thinking that they made it (because they say they do all over their site) and so would be able to help in the event of any questions during build or with spare parts if I needed any. Only to discover when I contacted them and asked a couple of carefully chosen questions that this isn't the truth and they're simply lying!!! This just cast complete doubt over the whole process so when I looked them up on this website to see if they were reputable I was pleased I hadn't ordered. I kept looking for a cabin and eventually bought one from a Company called Dunster House who do actually make them and it's beautiful. Similar to the one I would have bought but nicer looking and absolutely great. I can't recommend them highly enough. When my friends came over for the cabin warming party they were well impressed and 2 of them will be buying from the same Company that I did.

Sorry this is a bit off topic harris1961 - good to see you are happy with your purchase from Dunster House. My wife has just bought one as well (even though we can't afford it) and I cannot seem to get a statement of warranty or guaranteed out of them, just some disclaimers about the timber and nothing about replacing doors, windows, shingles etc if they are not upto standard. Can you comment on what their aftersales service is like - not having a phone number to call customer services is proving frustrating!

    Hiya MPwannasavemoney!

No worries that it's off topic, hey it's a forum. I has a couple of questions when I was putting my Dunster House cabin up, the wife told me I was getting it wrong. As you say you have to write in and I thought this odd so I questioned it, the person writing back told me something along the line of it was because Customer Services had the run of the Company to get answers for customers, including talking to the Directors if necessary which seems great, I mean how many Companies work like that! Anyway, I had my answers same day and I was right, not the wife! I found it straightforward enough to deal with them. Reading what else you've written though I doubt you'll get a guarantee on the product, it's untreated wood after all, I guess if you don't treat it, it will rot, where as if you look after it well it will last for years!

Thanks for your comments, I did manage to get some support from Dunster. What worries me if something OTHER THAN the wood has a problem there is no statement of warranty for that from Dunster. So for example if the double glazing is not sealed properly and it starts misting up inside then I have to rely upon statutory rights to get it resolved.
  • Kybotech do not make all of the log cabins that they advertise.
  • This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I do not make this statement lightly.

I do not want to go into all the details on a public domain until I have to, as previously stated we can all get bad service and things can go wrong and it is how the company deals with the problem. This company has still not resolved my problems and my daughter still does not have her birthday present from 15th July due to their incompetence.

I have tried to speak to Mr Walton but noone will allow access to him so it seems that it has to be done on a public forum then so be it.

To be fair their sales manager has tried to deal but due to all the errors and bad quality she is fighting a losing battle.

I would think twice about using this company quality is not great and after sales service is zero.
  • Had a look at their site(s) recently and they are still churning out the same old rubbish; both the claims they make and products they sell.:rotfl:
  • Ordered a 12x6 shed from Gardenbuildingsdirect and received order confirmation from Kybotech. What I got was a 12x6 floor and sufficient bearers for a 12x6 shed but the shed panels were for a 10 x 6. Spoke to customer services who gave me the option of waiting for the correct panels or settling for 10 x 6. I chose the latter since the erectors were on site and were costing me £280 a day. I would have had to pay this again if I had waited.Customer Services said someone would call to discuss compensation. They did not, I got an email saying they had credited me with £30 (the difference in cost of the two sheds). No recognition of the fact that I had paid for larger floor than was required, had extra bearers I did not need, or that I had had a concrete base constructed that was 2 ft larger than necessary.Worst of all, no apology and no recognition of the inconvenience and disappointment. The shed is very poor quality, the roof trusses were missing, the panels are riddled with knot holes and one is split and mouldy. I think the erectors were ashamed to put it up. Avoid like the plague.
