its a free trial , there is a "continue " button on the initial Nag screen , should says 30 days left

    screeshot here

click on "solve problems" and do the individual fixes there ( 1-click just does them all in one hit)

What operating system do you have? Windows XP? How old is the PC?

You could also run a defrag.

Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter

Click Anaylze when it opens and it will tell you whether it needs one or not.

Let us know how it is once you've followed all the (good) advice above :)
Its XP and its a laptop and it over a year old now.

no leave avast on there , its ok

I was pointing out to the other poster that he did not know if you had any antivirus software and it is bad to install 2 ;)

run the superantispyware to make sure the PC is clean and the tune up program will fix any problems on the pc for free afterwards

I have just done this and it deleted 2.870 harmful items! Do I need to do this scan often now (one a month)? Thank you so much for your help. I am very happy.

no harm in running Superantispyware on a monthly basis

run Tune-up a few times between now and the end of the 30 day trial

    you might want to download

    www.ccleaner.com

as well , take care to untick the box to install the yahoo toolbar !!

then run it to remove all the junk files that it has accumulated over time

    Hi
As my comp's quite slow as with above, I downloaded & ran the tune-up program as suggested. I cant see a button for '1 click maint'.. only 'scan registry', 'compact registry' and 'optimize your system'... After I ran it first time from installing, it came up with 56 items needing attention but it said most/all couldnt be corrected unless I registered for the full service..
    Regards
