I think you can take liquid as long as you've bought it after you've passed security / passport control (whatever it's called, where they scan your hand luggage!!!!)
We took packed lunches on the plane when we went to the Dominican (travel agent mucked up) and noone said anything!OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
Yes, we have just come back from Faro and took food on both ways. Only restriction is that you have to buy drinks after you have passed thru security etc.0

You can take any food. You can't take drinks though as liquids over 100mls can't be taken through security. You can buy drinks once through security i.e. at Boots or WH Smith & take these on board.0

just beware if u have any left about the country you are going to food restrictions0

If there is a Boots once you have gone through security then buy a meal deal

You can take packed lunches, and just buy bottled drinks once you are airside.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

It's definitely the way to go, especially if you're travelling with any of the Budget airlines (EasyJet, Ryanair, Flybe etc) as they'll charge you for food and drink. Even with buying your juice or water when you're airside, it's likely to be cheaper than on the plane.0

A quick tip for buying water once you are "airside". Sometimes you can get a free bottle of water if you buy a newspaper. This happened to us twice at Stansted. Once it was the Times and the other time it was the Telegraph. So for 75p we got a newspaper and a bottle of water. The funny thing was that this same bottle of water was on sale in the shop for £1.25!What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I did this with the Telegraph at Prestwick bought 2 copies as it was 1.50 for a bottle and only 75p for a bottle and a paper. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
