'The Dangerous Book for Boys' sounds like it may be good as it contains all sorts of ideas that he can try over many years. It may motivate him to read a little more. Its a book that can be enjoyed by males of all ages.0

Greetings ... Dr Blockbuster suggests a model car ... a James Bond Aston Martin. Not likely to go out of style and a FUN wee present for a boy.

What about a chess set? My son got a Star Wars collectors Chess Set for his birthday; he's only six, so he hasn't opened it yet, but it is something that he will 'grow' into. That's Numberwang!0

My 10 year old boy is currently into his Ninetendo(loves his Nineten Dogs), he has to feed them, walk them etc, he can also buy other things like property by the sea, but he needs to earn the money through buying and selling Dogs, or entering into Dog shows. He also likes anything on Dr Who, Harry Potter books, and Lord of the Rings. He also has a metal Dectector and would like some skates (which he doesn't have). He also likes his Micro scotter. Hope thats given you some ideas. He also loves his Monopoly but we all see him coming with that one;) :rotfl: Oh and Simpson Cludeo is good. He also likes table Tennis.Good luck. Will go now before I think of any more:DGrocery challenge june £300/ £211-50.

If it is something to keep, I would go with something you can get personalised. Things like games consoles are OK but they move on with technology and will soon be outdated. We have had people purchase items for babies that they have personalised for when they are older.0
