Thanks to thedogman, who gave this number 01915257304 as a way to be removed from the 2Touch calls. I dialed it and it's an automated "remove your number" facility at 2Touch. I keyed my number in and my fingers are crossed!

Next time 2Touch contacts you, say the following: (Applies whether you are registered with TPS or not)

The Data Protection Act 1998 means you are using Unsolicited Direct Marketing, which means you are marketing products i have not asked for.

Do not delete my details but Suppress them so that in the future you have on your records that i wish not to be contacted and you know not to use my details for direct marketing.

If it does not stop within 28 days, I will put in a Court Order under the Data Protection Act and i will also put a complaint in to The Information Commissioner's Office.

It is also against the Law to hide the true identity of their organisation, so if they say they are calling on behalf of BT they are hiding their organisations identity as they are called 2Touch.

Also if when they call and its silent when you answer, it's likely they have phoned a number of people at the same time and as soon as the first person answers the other get disconnected.
