    pink pig i have to send wage slips and they contact my employer aswell to make sure...if you are self employed then i would imagine they can doctor the figures somehow..........not saying that anyone would mind....

    If they are self employed then they have to produce accounts but they do not have to be full accounts, which is why my ex is the cheapest management consultant in the world today.

    If they are on a PAYE system they only have to produce a months wage slip, so if for example they normally work 30 hours overtime a month then they can not do it for the next month and produce a basic wage slip, the CSA makes no effort to check at the end of each year if th assessments add up to the total salary.

    Another way to get around it is to put a large amount into a pension, all pensin contributions are deductible before any assessment is made under CS2, under CS1 50% of pension contributions are deducted. There are NRP's out there who will pay hundreds of pounds into a pension pot that they will benefit from so as to reduce their CSA liability.

    They went straight to the HMRC for my ex's accounts as he refused to 'fess up.

    Thanks for post Kimitatsu and fear not I shan't be responding to him (if it is a him) again as he is nothing but a troll with an axe to grind.
