Scented Salt Body Scrub
Ingredients:
3 cups fine sea salt
3/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup sweet almond oil
essential oils as desired
Preparation:
Mix salt, olive oil, and almond oil in a glass bowl. Add an essential oil, such as peppermint, for scent. Store in a tightly sealed glass jar. This scrub is perfect after a bath or shower while the skin is still warm and damp. Massage a tablespoon or two onto the skin in small circles. Leave on for five to 20 minutes, then rinse.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Sugar Body Scrub
Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
Preparation: Mix sugar and oil in a glass bowl. This scrub is milder and simpler to make than the salt scrub. If this scrub is for one person, it might be better to cut the recipe in half.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I've got a book at home that has a whole chapter on old-fashioned beauty preparations & I'm sure that it has a couple of body scrub recipes. I'll have a look this evening.0

No tips, but just to add..be careful not to over exfoliate..
so many of my friends waste money buying expensive scrubs, then pile on moisturisers to replenish what they are losing from over scrubbing...Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Actually, it would be a good idea to merge the oatmeal scrub soap thread and this one so as to keep all these ideas in one place, so I'll do that any second now...Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I've just got some 'melt and pour' soap base to try and do some for christmas. I'm planning on using a marg tub as a mould (then slicing it) - it's a 'regular' sized tub, not the smallest, but the next one up... roughly how much soap base, weight wise, should i use?0
